1. Local-first investigation data
SPECTER Imaging processes camera frames, depth data, thermal streams, microphone audio, sensor telemetry, recordings, evidence, annotations, settings, and reports primarily on your computer. Normal operation does not upload this investigation content to SPECTER. You choose whether to export or share it.
2. License activation
Activation sends the key, product identifier, purchase email when entered, a one-way device identifier, and activation status. SPECTER stores the key record, product, email, purchase reference, machine binding, status, and timestamps for delivery, enforcement, fraud prevention, transfers, and support.
3. Purchases
Stripe processes checkout. SPECTER receives the customer email, product, amount, currency, tax and payment status when applicable, Stripe transaction references, and accepted legal-document versions and timestamp. SPECTER does not receive full card numbers.
4. Support
Support records can include name, email, product, subject, messages, ticket history, a device identifier if submitted from the application, and diagnostics you choose to provide. Do not submit passwords, card details, or private investigation content unless necessary and appropriate.
5. Optional remote access and alerts
Local phone, wall-display, camera, and sensor connections remain on networks or destinations you configure. If you enable hosted remote access, Cloudflare Tunnel processes network traffic to route the session to your computer. Web Push providers process subscription identifiers and notification delivery. SPECTER stores tunnel provisioning and push subscription data needed to provide these optional features. Disable the feature to stop future use and remove subscriptions where the application provides that control.
6. Consent-based website analytics
Analytics run only after you select Accept Analytics. If accepted, the site stores random first-party visitor and session identifiers, returning-visitor status, campaign attribution, page and download events, visit duration, referrer, browser user agent, and country inferred by hosting infrastructure. Analytics are not used for cross-site advertising and are not sold for targeted advertising. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track defaults analytics to declined.
7. Hosting and security logs
Netlify and infrastructure providers may process IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent, approximate network location, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. These operational logs are separate from optional analytics.
8. Updates and optional third-party services
Update checks contact the official release service. Cloudflare, Stripe, Netlify, Brevo or another transactional mail provider, Web Push providers, map or media providers, and equipment vendors process data under their own terms when you use the related feature. Ordinary network information such as IP address and user agent is exposed to the destination service.
9. Retention
Local content remains until you delete it. License and transaction records are retained while needed for fulfillment, activation, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, and dispute purposes. Support records are retained as reasonably needed for service history. Analytics identifiers expire as described in the consent interface, while aggregate records may be retained for reporting and security.
10. Your choices and requests
You may decline analytics, clear browser storage, delete local content, disable optional remote features, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your email, subject to identity verification and legal retention obligations. Additional rights may apply based on location.
11. Security and international processing
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no system is perfectly secure. Providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.
12. Children and changes
The products and site are not directed to children under 13. Material changes will be posted with a revised version and effective date.
