EVP AUDIO LAB

Review session audio, isolate a moment, and export a clean share pack

The EVP Audio Lab is where you review the audio recorded alongside a session. It lays the sound out as a waveform and a spectrogram so you can find, isolate, and export the moments that matter.

THE TOOLS

ToolWhat it does
WaveformThe full clip as amplitude over time. Click and drag to mark a region.
SpectrogramFrequency content over time, useful for spotting speech-like bands.
SpectrumA live frequency snapshot at the playhead.
EQShape the playback to pull a faint sound forward.
SPECTER EVP Audio Lab

MARKING A REGION

Drag across the waveform to set an in point and an out point. The live range readout shows both timecodes. Playback loops the selected region so you can listen closely.

LIVE PLAYBACK METERS & TIMECODE

To support detailed review of potential evidence, the EVP Audio Lab includes several live realtime playback meters designed to visualize and verify sound patterns:

Investigators can toggle the prominent SHOW TIMECODE banner to display a running timecode readout (formatted as HH:MM:SS:FF for hours, minutes, seconds, and frames) overlaid on the playback stream.

PER-EVENT CAMERA CYCLING & THUMBNAILS

When an audio event is linked to a visual capture, you can analyze the environmental surroundings using dual source controls directly within the EVP interface:

EXPORT SNIPPET

Once you have a region marked, Export Snippet bundles it into a tidy share pack for review or hand-off. A single export produces:

The audiogram has two layouts:

LayoutLook
Full frameThe matching still fills the frame with the animated waveform glowing across the bottom.
Split panelThe still sits on top with the waveform in a clean panel below.
Turn on the zip option to get the whole pack as one archive, ready to drop into a message or a review folder.
